Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha with your packed lunch and begin a scenic safari to Tarangire National Park for an exciting game drive. At noon, you'll enjoy lunch within the park. After the drive, you'll be transferred to a lodge where you can relax, have dinner, and stay overnight. Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River that meanders through its lands and serves as the only water source for wildlife during the dry season, is renowned for its large elephant herds, scattered giant baobab trees, and tree-climbing pythons. The park features diverse landscapes, including seasonal swamps and savanna grasslands, and offers opportunities to see a wide range of animals, such as lions, zebras, gazelles, leopards, hyenas, and giraffes.

After breakfast, you'll embark on a full-day game drive, with early morning offering the best conditions for wildlife activity due to cooler temperatures. The focus will be on spotting wildlife, including the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhinoceros), as well as other species such as giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, and various antelopes. Depending on the season, you might witness the Great Migration in the Central Serengeti. The drive will conclude in the late evening, and you'll return to Kontiki Serengeti Camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Serengeti National Park is renowned for the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes travel between the southern Serengeti, Maasai Mara, and Ndutu. The park is also known for its stunning plains and resident predators like crocodiles, leopards, cheetahs, and lions, which form a crucial part of the ecosystem.

After breakfast, you will journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping to explore the important archaeological site of Olduvai Gorge and experiencing the local Maasai village culture. The drive will continue to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the crater floor, showcasing diverse habitats and abundant wildlife, including the "Big Five," zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and various bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch at designated spots within the crater while taking in the stunning scenery. The day will conclude with a drive through the crater and the surrounding highlands to Karatu, where you'll have dinner and an overnight stay. The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is the largest intact caldera in the world, formed by a volcanic eruption around 2-3 million years ago, and is home to approximately 30,000 large mammals year-round.

After breakfast, your guide will collect you from the hotel with your lunch pack and drive you to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of game driving, where you may spot the park’s renowned tree-climbing lions. The park also offers additional activities such as canoeing or bicycle riding at extra cost. During your game drive, you will have the opportunity to disembark at the hippo pool to stretch your legs and observe the hippos. Following the game drive, you will be transferred back to your hotel or Kilimanjaro Airport to prepare for your onward flight to your next destination. Lake Manyara National Park spans 330 sq. km (127 sq. miles), with up to 200 sq. km (77 sq. miles) covered by the lake when water levels are high. It is a prime location for bird watching and home to a variety of wildlife including elephants, hippos, giraffes, zebras, baboons, warthogs, buffaloes, and the famous tree-climbing lions.
