The game drive will continue until early afternoon, when you will pause for lunch at a designated spot within the park. After lunch, the safari will resume, allowing more time to explore the park's wildlife until late evening, when you will be transported to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Serengeti National Park is renowned for the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes travel in a cycle from the southern Serengeti to the Maasai Mara and back to Ndutu, driven by changing climates, the search for fresh pastures, and calving season. Our experienced safari guide will ensure you have the best view of the migration, allowing you to experience the dramatic river crossings of wildebeests, spot predators like crocodiles and lions on the hunt, observe a variety of bird species, and take in the scenic beauty of the lush riverbanks and open plains. After the game drive in Serengeti, you will head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for another game drive before proceeding to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. The Serengeti Great Migration is a spectacular event involving over 1.5 million wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles traveling across the Serengeti and Maasai Mara. This migration is primarily driven by the search for food and water, and it is closely aligned with breeding cycles, predator avoidance, and seasonal environmental changes.
